The University of Kansas (KU) Army ROTC hosted the 28th annual Ranger Buddy Competition at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas on Saturday, April 6, 2024. This year saw the largest field of competitors in the entire competition’s history with 219 registered teams.

The teams consisted of two-cadets (either all male, all female or co-ed). The Golden Buffalo Battalion sent two teams to compete:
1.    Male Team (B39)
CDT Benjamin Farney, a freshman at the Colorado School of Mines
CDT Jose Abuan, a freshman at the Colorado School of Mines
2.    Co-ed Team (B38)
CDT Kalen Kostal, a sophomore at the University of Denver (DU)
CDT Jessica Stanfill, a junior at the University of Denver (DU)

During the event, teams rucked 13-miles and completed 15 tactical tasks. Our Co-ed team of CDTs Stanfill and Kostal won the ruck march by over four minutes and place first for the Co-ed Open Division.
