MySkills Program Manager
Comprehensive Career Team

Kelly manages the MySkills Program, helping students identify and articulate the skills they have built throughout their coursework, extra-curricular activities and lives. Kelly teaches students how to turn their experiences into attention-grabbing hiring materials and shows them pathways to build and improve skills. After fleeing the family farm in the Pacific NW, she completed her bachelor's in creative writing at Pacific University and an MFA in creative writing at the University of Pittsburgh. She utilizes her years of teaching English to design equity-centered, career curriculum for faculty across CU, create in-class presentations and build accessible canvas courses. She also develops student-facing workshops.

Kelly is a champion of diversity in the arts, supporting arts organizations around the world who create space for women writers, especially women who experience multiple intersections of marginalization. In her free time, she teaches and mentors young writers through workshops and online programs. She is also a graphic designer, artist and vagabond at heart.
