The 2024 ACC Visiting Researcher Program welcomes international applicants who wish to conduct research on Asian Culture to broaden humanistic discourse and cultural horizons.
1. Program Overview
ㅇ Name of Program: 2024 ACC Asia Culture Museum Visiting Researcher Program
ㅇ Area of Study: Urban culture and lifestyle in West Asia and South Asia
- Thematic research & source collection for establishing an Asia culture research hub at the Asia Culture Museum
ㅇ Research Period: May 31st – December 31st, 2024
ㅇ Number of Candidates: 2 mid-level researchers
1) Minimum 10 years of experience after obtaining a doctoral degree or experience of 5 or more years following an assistant professorship at a university
2) Published 5 or more academic achievements as detailed below in the last 5 years (since Jan 1st , 2019)
* Preferred qualifications
ㅇ A person who has a research record on research topics directly related to the recruitment research field or the collection or exhibition of the ACC Asian Culture Museum.
2. Support and Benefits
ㅇ Private office space at the ACC(Located in Gwangju metropolitan city, South Korea)
ㅇ Research grant: publication fee of up to KRW 4 million (including taxes)
ㅇ One round-trip airfare (economy class) and accommodation costs (3-nights, 4-day trip) for attending
international academic events
3. Responsibilities
ㅇ Attend the international academic event (planned in November) as a presenter and submit a final research article by
September 30th (Length : 1,500 words or more, Presentation.: 15min(in ppt format))
ㅇ Final submission of research article by October 30st 18:00 (KST) (Length : 8,000~10,000 words)
4. Application
To apply, download application forms from ACC website and submit with relevant documents by e-mail to hhj94@korea.kr BEFORE 6.pm., April 30th (TUE) (KST). Post or non-site submission will NOT be accepted.
Relevant documents are Copies of certificate of graduation, certificate for career, certificate of employment, published articles, etc.
*Foreigners are required to submit a copy of their passport.
*Attachments can be uploaded up to a size of 50MB.
*Submitted documents will not be returned.
Selection Result will be announced via the ACC website on May 28th, 2024 (the schedule is subject to change).
Selected applicant who fails to reply to the acceptance e-mail within 5 days, the opportunity will be passed to the next candidate.
