Professional Biography

Li Li Peters was educated in China and the United States with a B.A. in English and a M.A. in Comparative Literature in China. She came to study the United States in the early 1990s and received her second M.A. in Asian Languages and Civilizations at the University of Colorado at Boulder and her doctoral degree in Asian Studies from UCLA in 2007. She has taught a wide-range of courses in various educational institutions both in China and in the United Stats, and is currently an associate professor in the Department of Languages and Literatures, and a joint faculty in Asian Studies. She also serves as the coordinator of Chinese program and the Director of Asian Studies.
