he/him/él

Guillermo Ramírez, also known as Memo, comes to us from the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life where he served as the assistant director and had touchpoints with all four governing councils.  Guillermo’s passion lies in helping marginalized communities have access to and through college, and creating spaces at higher education institutions for them to thrive.

Guillermo is a first-generation, Mexican-American, queer male, college graduate born in Denver and raised in Aurora, Colorado, by two Mexican immigrants from San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University, followed by his Masters of Arts in Higher Education with a concentration in diversity and higher learning from the University of Denver. Guillermo’s personal journey has empowered him to seek ways to dismantle and transform these systems so they will not only acknowledge oppressed people but value them. This is what Guillermo does as a higher education educator.

During his free time, Guillermo enjoys spending time with family and loved ones, brunching with the amigis (friends) on the weekend, watching RuPaul’s Drag Race or La Mas Draga (The Most Drag), and listening to all the latine/x music such as Karol G, Becky G, Bad Bunny, Peso Pluma, Anitta, Carla Morrison and much more!
