Antonella Onofrietti Magrassi

Antonella was born and raised in Mexico City where she completed a B.A. in Psychology, and worked with families and students for several years.

Antonella received her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Oregon. Her research has focused on self-regulation, parenting behaviors, caregiver mental health, and intergenerational transmission of trauma primarily with Latinx communities. Antonella's research and professional interests include the development and dissemination of culturally relevant evidence-based interventions, increasing mental health access for Latinx families and using strength-based approaches to serve diverse populations. Antonella’s clinical experience includes conducting psychoeducational and comprehensive evaluations, providing academic and behavioral consultation to caregivers and teachers, and providing counseling services and parenting skills training.

Prior to joining the Crown Institute, Antonella completed a school-based internship in a bilingual elementary school in Springfield, Oregon.
