Lauren_Levey
Senator, School of Education Student Government

Lauren is a Junior studying Elementary Education with a minor in Leadership studies. She joined student government to cultivate a space for like minded leaders and future educators to learn, grow, and make change in the world of education, both in and out of CU. Lauren is working to become a K-5 Generalized Special Education teacher with the hopes of creating a more inclusive, socially and culturally diverse education system for all students. She is passionate about learning through service and creating a space for students to do so as well. She currently works as a 6th-12th grade executive function skills mentor and tutor, helping neurodivergent students not only gain confidence in and out of the classroom, but grow and adapt the education system to best fit their needs. She is passionate about continuing the development of these skills for all students! Lauren is also one of two current SOESG Senators and holds a seat on the greater CU student government Legislative Council. She loves getting to be the voice for, and advocate for the students in the School of Education and looks forward to writing and working on education based legislation for both CU Boulder and the greater state of Colorado. When she is not on campus or at work, Lauren loves to spend time with her friends, ski, cook, and find new restaurants and coffee shops in and around Boulder. She is super excited for the year to come and to connect with and learn from fellow Educator Buffs!
