Did You Know?
In college, you may face unexpected expenses.
Your nonresident CU tuition won’t be one of them.
The Colorado four-year tuition guarantee
The unpredictability of tuition costs over a four-year program is a common concern we hear from nonresident students and their families. With this is mind, we have created a guaranteed tuition rate program for undergraduate students who pay nonresident tuition.
We guarantee that your tuition will be constant for four full years.
The tuition guarantee makes nonresident student costs more predictable. It’s simple—all degree-seeking nonresident students (freshman and transfer) are placed in a tuition guarantee group based on their first CU-Boulder term. Their tuition rate remains the same for four years from the date of their first term as a CU student.
In addition to taking some of the guesswork out of paying for college, the tuition guarantee also serves as an additional incentive for students to graduate in four years. Currently 75 percent of nonresident CU freshmen and almost 90 percent of nonresident transfer students graduate in four years or less.
Every entering nonresident student qualifies. You do not need to take any action to participate in the guarantee.
Notes: Fees, room and board, and other non-tuition expenses are not included in the tuition guarantee. Colorado resident students, students on study abroad, and students taking only continuing education courses are not eligible for the tuition guarantee program.
