Graduate Programs
If you have completed or are completing a four-year bachelor's degree with a high level of excellence and wish to further your education, you may pursue a graduate degree at CU-Boulder.
Master's degree (MA, MS)
70 programs; the master's degree is usually completed in two or two
and one-half years of full-time study. Requirements vary, depending on the
program.
Doctorate (PhD)
50 programs; the highest degree conferred by the university. Doctoral
programs usually build upon master's level work and require completion of
course work, a comprehensive examination, original research, and a dissertation.

Business
MS or PhD degree in business administration offered through the Graduate
School; or master
of business administration (MBA) offered through the Leeds School of
Business.
Education
MA or PhD in three areas of concentration: educational psychological studies;
instruction and curriculum; and social, multicultural, and bilingual foundations.
PhD only: research and evaluation methodology.
Engineering and
Applied Science
MS or PhD in: aerospace engineering sciences; chemical and biological engineering; civil,
environmental, and architectural engineering; computer science; electrical
and computer engineering; and mechanical engineering.
MS in interdisciplinary telecommunications.
ME degree in engineering management.
Humanities
MA and PhD programs: classics, comparative literature, English, French,
history, philosophy, and Spanish.
MA only: East Asian languages and civilizations
Law

doctor of musical arts (DMusA): MA in fine arts and the master of fine arts
(MFA). MFA in dance. MA or PhD in theatre.
Social and Behavioral
Sciences
MA or PhD in anthropology; communication; economics; geography; linguistics;
political science; psychology; speech, language, and hearing sciences; and
sociology.
MS only: museum and field studies.
