I. Overview
The Rocky Mountain Collegiate Snowjam is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2003 at Copper Mountain Resort. Timed in conjunction with Copper's annual Sunsation event, the RMC will be at
the center of a large, festival-like atmosphere estimated to draw in excess of 30,000 people over the course of the weekend. Saturday is the largest day of the festival, and the events are as follows:
RMC Big Air Comp- collegiate athletes from varying schools/states
compete for prizes. Event takes place directly in front of the Eagle Lift and
the deck at Endo's restaurant
Musical performances from MXPX and Riddlin Kids. These performances
will take place before and during the big air event, at the base of the jump
Coppers
"Eenie Weenie Bikini" contest begins after the RMC concludes
Conclusion/ Awards party with drink specials by Coors and KMX
This is simply a list of the major events that draw crowds, but the festival will include other smaller events and expos that will occur during the day and weekend. With this type of atmosphere, your company will be able to specifically target a college-based crowd within the RMC event, but also a general population of front range consumers by booths, banners, signs, and logo placements.
II. RMC SPECS
The RMC will consist of four competitor categories:
Skiiing
Male Division
Female Divison
Snowboarding
Male Division
Female Divison
All competitors must currently be enrolled in college. Each category will be judged and awarded individually.
Each competitor will receive a competitors packet, a competition bib, and a t-shirt. The packet is a bag that will contain sponsor's requested materials (magazine, coupons, energy drink, energy bar, etc). T-shirts will also be sold and distributed into the crowd.
Each sponsor will be designated banner space at the event, and may inquire about additional booth space for demos, space on t-shirts for logos, or additional compensation that an individual vendor may need to allow for promotion both to the competitors and to spectators of the event and concerts.
MXPX and Riddlin Kids will play sets during and after the event, specifically during competition breaks (timing is tentative and will be updated). The performances will take place at the base of the landing area of the big-air jump, in full view of all banner placements.
The competition will take place at the bottom of the mountain in front of the deck at Endo's restaurant allowing maximum exposure for banner and booth placements.
