Summer Session Online Teaching Academy Application Now Live

Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 Summer Session Online Teaching Academy.

The Online Teaching Academy focuses on increasing the skills and knowledge of faculty and instructors wanting to teach online and hybrid remote/online during the 2024 Summer Session. Participants chosen for the Academy's Summer 2024 program will work in cohort groups led by an online instructional designer. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a one-time $1,500 payment.

The training program will be held during February 2024 and will consist of weekly remote meetings over a four-week period. The curriculum will be based on national standards for online teaching found in the Quality Matters Rubric — and will cover topics regarding online teaching (asynchronous) as well as remote/online hybrid teaching (synchronous and asynchronous).

Faculty, instructors and lecturers expecting to teach in the upcoming Summer Session are eligible. Graduate students may not apply.

To apply for the Academy, complete the online application.  After submitting the online application, ask your department chair to send an email of support to Armando Parés at armando.pares@colorado.edu

The deadline for applications is November 21, 2023.
