Project Description
We are looking for a highly motivated student with a strong background in electrical engineering.
Our lab is developing biodegradable soil moisture and nitrate sensors using novel materials including those often overlooked in electronics such as waxes and woods. For this project, the student will design and fabricate embedded circuits to help obtain and send data from the sensors either through simple Arduino circuits or more complex passive RFID.
This project would help you “get your feet wet with the world of IoT and give you some real-world design for manufacturing type skills."
The student is expected to work independently with the freedom to explore new embedded electronic concepts.
Special Requirement
The student should have basic knowledge in electrical engineering, programming, and soldering.
- Majors: Electrical engineering (required)
- Year: Senior (preferred)
- ITLL experience and work with PCB is ideal
- Work type: In-person (or remotely for programming)
