Project Description
The Social Justice and Environmental Quality - Denver (SJEQ-D) is a multidisciplinary environmental justice research project aiming to reduce air and noise pollution caused by major construction projects in North Denver, as well as understand the impact of construction on community members' well-being and ability to move around the community. As part of this study, 50 participants carry around a personal air monitor for a one-month period four times over 1.5 years. The DLA student's role in this project will focus on calibrating, maintaining, and deploying personal air quality sensors in the community. Parallel to sensor deployment tasks, the DLA student will be involved in data processing and management.
