Project Description

We are looking for a highly motivated student with a strong background in electrical engineering to develop integrated circuits for measuring and recording electronic signals that are directly correlated to bio-signals.

Our lab is developing novel sensors in the form of novel organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) to determine soil microbial and enzymatic activity as well as to sense the nutrient content of the xylem sap within plants.

For this project, the student will design and fabricate embedded circuits to measure and send data from the transistors through Arduino circuits. (Via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth)
The student is expected to work independently with the freedom to explore different pathways for the development of the integrated circuits.

Special Requirement

  • Majors: Electrical engineering (required)
  • Year: Senior (preferred)
  • ITLL or soldering experience and programming skills are preferred
  • Work type: In-person (or remotely for programming)
