The College of Arts and Sciences

The College of Arts & Sciences is the first and largest college and is the most interdisciplinary college on CU Boulder’s campus. Faculty, staff and students conduct research, scholarship, creative work and education in more than 60 fields across three divisions - the natural sciences, social sciences and arts & humanities. Housing subjects from dance to astrophysical and planetary sciences, the College of Arts & Sciences is the intellectual core of the university. Our engagement and fundraising work enhance the academic and co-curricular opportunities, thus preparing critical, creative and compassionate thinkers to succeed in a global world.

Graduate School

Nearly 6,000 graduate students from around the world come to CU Boulder to pursue graduate certificates, master’s and doctoral degrees in over 130 programs. Working with esteemed faculty and researchers, our graduate students gain world-class expertise in their chosen fields and train to become the next generation of teachers, scholars, artists and researchers. As one of the nation’s top-ranked Tier 1 research institutions, CU Boulder offers forward-thinking graduate programs that produce groundbreaking research, economic opportunity and a positive impact. Our partnership in fundraising and alumni engagement facilitates educational innovations in our graduate programs and strengthens a vibrant and diverse graduate student community at CU Boulder.

University Libraries

The University Libraries support students, faculty, staff, Coloradans and visiting scholars by providing essential scholarly resources, user-centered services and inclusive and welcoming spaces. The Libraries' collections, the largest in the Rocky Mountain region, include 15+ million volumes and access to thousands of specialized research databases in five library locations and virtually. The Advancement partnership aims to expand collections and serve the needs of undergraduate and graduate students, and faculty in all degree programs across the campus.
