Mona Lambrecht is Interim Director and Curator of History and Collections of the Heritage Center, where she oversees the museum's collections, curates exhibits, assists patrons with research, works directly with Museum and Field Studies graduate students, and researches and writes about campus history for exhibitions and articles. She especially enjoys researching CU's early history and people, bringing the activities and feeling of the young campus back to life.

Her professional work as a historian has spanned over twenty years, including previous projects for History Colorado, the Bostonian Society, the Old Manse in Concord, MA, a PBS documentary, and book and article publications.

When she's not working, Mona enjoys tending to her summer vegetable garden with her husband, creating a life of leisure for her three cats, researching her family history, knitting, and other artistic endeavors in drawing, painting and printmaking.
