Shibani Bhatt

Shibani Bhatt is a young researcher in the field of Aerodynamics with a specialization in wall-bounded flows and active flow control. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Aerospace Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL.

As her PhD project, she has designed and built a 12 ft. long wall-jet facility to provide a thick boundary layer with high frictional Reynolds number. During the course of her education, she has worked as an instructor for Experimental Aerodynamics for three consecutive semesters.

She has worked as a graduate teaching assistant for a graduate-level course where she designed and set up labs from scratch as well as wrote manuals for the same. She also monitored these labs and guided graduate students with their experiments. In general, students are quite fond of her teaching. As a systems administrator for the computational fluid dynamics lab, she guided students and faculty members with academic projects using multiple CFD software. She also provided maintenance and optimization of a ten-node Linux computer cluster. When she isn’t working in the lab, she enjoys reading books, listening to classical music and playing werewolves.
