The Applied Math Department is filled with many talented individuals. Two of those, Professor Tom Manteuffel and Professor Emeritus Steve McCormick, are two of the most prolific SIAM authors. Manteuffel has authored the most articles, with 73 published from 1977 to today, according to Zentralblatt Math, the premiere pure and applied mathematics database. Manteuffel often co-authors with McCormick, who has had 52 articles published by SIAM and is the eleventh most published SIAM author. McCormick is retired, but the department looks forward to Manteuffel to continuing his considerable prolific publishing feat.
