Applying to the BAM-AMEN Program
  • Let undergraduate advisor and graduate coordinator know you are interested in the program
  • The end of your 3rd year (or when you decide to join BS/MS program, whichever is sooner) Fill out Bachelor's/Master's Application for Admission
  • If you have less than 135 credits at time of admission into the program you must complete a Bachelor's/Master's Mid-program Review at 135 credits or when you want to officially enter Graduate status.
Applying to Graduate with BAM-AMEN
  • Make sure you have been admitted officially into the BS/MS Program
  • Complete all BS requirements for degree- see undergraduate advisor/ admin assistant for instructions
  • Check deadline sheet for all dates. Thesis Plan      Non-Thesis Plan
  • Complete BS/MS Certificate of Completion of the Requirements for the Bachelor's Degree 
  • Complete BS/MS Supplement to Candidacy Application 
  • Complete Candidacy Application for an Advanced Degree
  • Complete Masters Exam Report
    • Know the date of the Prelim you wish to use
    • Know the committee members (graders) 3 are required, if you only had two graders the Graduate Chair will be the third member.
    • Get appropriate signatures- Graduate Chair must always approve this form
    • Make a copy for the Graduate Coordinator
    • Turn original into Graduate School
  • Apply to Graduate Online by deadline thru MyCUInfo
  • If completeing the thesis option see additional instructions below:
    • Print at least 3 copies of Thesis Signature page on appropriate paper and turn into Graduate Coordinator-8.5 x 11 watermarked paper of at least 25 % cotton and 20# weight
    • Have Committee Chair pick up Exam folder from Graduate Coordinator prior to Thesis Defense. (Graduate Coordinator will have it ready at least 48 hrs. prior to Exam time)
    • Submit Thesis to Graduate School electronically- see deadline sheet for dates and instructions.
    • Submit hard copy of thesis to Graduate Coordinator- Must be printed single sided, on 8.5 x 11 watermarked paper of at least 25 % cotton and 20# weight- Same due date as Graduate School submission date
    • Submit hard copy of thesis to Graduate Coordinator for personal copies. The department will bind up to 3 personal copies free of charge. They can be double sided and on whatever paper you prefer.
