Carlton presenting on the Pawnee Nation

Carlton Gover (Ph.D. Archaeology in progress) was named the recipient of the CCPA Native American Scholarship for expenses associated with his Ph. D. research regarding Pawnee migration and settlement patterns.  With this scholarship funding, he will be visiting Pawnee, Oklahoma to collect video recordings of elders and culturally knowledgable members of the Nation. His main priority is trying to document oral traditions on past migrations and settlement locations.  The funding will also provide a feast for the individuals and their families who participate in the research.   Carlton feels strongly about the importance of preserving this cultural knowledge and so do we! Thank you, Carlton!
