Clara Lee (Ph.D. Cultural Anthropology in Progress) presented her paper "Refusing Empire through Care – Anti-base Dissent in Soseong-ri, South Korea" as part of the conference session, Democracy and Social Justice at the KoRN Annual Conference. This conference provides an outlet for early career scholars, graduate students, and professors to present their research with one another as well as the wider community. It also brings together leaders and scholars of Korea-related topics and engage them in an open dialogue about opportunities to facilitate collaborative research among scholars and graduate students throughout the Midwest.
