Dr. João da Silva Santos is a postdoctoral researcher for the new Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope operated by the National Solar Observatory (NSO). His research primarily focuses on the study of solar chromosphere magnetism and heating, as well as dynamic coupling across various layers of the solar atmosphere. To achieve this, he analyzes high-resolution observations obtained from ground-based and space-borne instruments, employing advanced data inversion codes and numerical simulations. João earned his PhD from Stockholm University in Sweden in 2021.
