Painting & Drawing

My work is comprised of various mediums that lend meaning to the science of bodily experience in an environment. I use thread, gel polymers, and animal products to elucidate meaning to each piece.

Upon these surfaces, include imagery which I have gleaned from my upbringing in Alaska, raised by a craftswoman in a matriarchal home.

I blend together crafting and the feelings that happen in the nervous system that occur through touch. Through imagination and scientific study, I create surfaces that transform the subterranean gruesome inner parts of a human into something palatable and romantic.
