General Education Distribution Requirement

Request Form for New Courses

This form along with the new course proposal itself will help the Arts and Sciences Curriculum Committee make a determination about whether the new course needs to be nominated to be included in the distribution requirement(s) indicated in question 4 or whether there is no need for such a nomination. Once the committee has made this determination the A&S Curriculum Office will either ask the department/program to submit a nomination OR notify the department/program that the new course has been approved for inclusion in the distribution requirement based on the course proposal alone.  (This form should be used only if the course in question was created after Dec. 1, 2017.)
