Isabel Tan
- Academic Coach

Office Location: Woodbury 109, UCB 290
Originally from Texas, I started my career as a Teaching Fellow at a charter high school preparing students of color to succeed as first-generation college students. I spent a few years in technical recruiting for Silicon Valley startups before moving to Colorado to obtain my Master's in Counseling and Career Development. I developed my passion for student success through exploration and reflection, and I love helping others engage in their own self-discovery process as they develop skills for lifelong growth. My work as an Academic Coach centers on helping students make meaning of their lives and gain confidence as we co-create action plans for success. To all my future collaborators, I can't wait to meet you!
Outside of work, I enjoy browsing the local library, hiking the Flatirons on a clear day, and indulging in the chai at Dushanbe Teahouse.
