CAPS Workshops
Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) provides educational workshops designed to share valuable information and insight to students on a variety of topics, including anxiety, mindfulness, procrastination, motivation, relationships and sleep. All workshops are free and confidential. Students do not need to be a CAPS client or complete CAPS paperwork to attend.
Topics:
- Anxiety Toolbox: tools used while facing anxiety-triggering situations
- Feel Better Fast: Coping strategies and mindfulness
- Feel Good Fridays: Guided mediation - students, staff, and faculty are welcome to attend
- Getting it Done: Procrastination and low motivation
- Relationship Hacks: Issues with all kinds of interpersonal relationships
- Sleep Skills: Developing good sleep habits and getting better sleep
Academic Coaching
Academic coaching is a program offered through the College of Arts & Sciences' Academic Advising Center that supports students in academic difficulty by focusing on each student's developmental needs regarding the knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary to achieve academic and personal success.
Tutoring
There are a variety of tutoring resources available, including general tutoring in math, the sciences and writing, as well as department-specific tutoring resources.
