Babatunde Adegoke received a Bachelor of Science in statistics from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State of Nigeria. Shortly after graduating, he worked with Connected Development (Follow the Money) as a community manager, focusing on product design and assisting the communications team. He helped in the design and integration of the biggest online community dedicated to transparency and accountability, helping the organization expand across Nigeria and into Africa. Through his childhood in the villages of Southwest Nigeria and his experience with Follow the Money helping to empower rural communities, he has developed a keen awareness of how ICT can support the growth of communities in developing countries.
