Ignatius, a dedicated junior from Morgan State University majoring in electrical engineering, brings a lifelong curiosity about electronic systems to his role as a research intern at ACME Lab. With a talent for coding and a burgeoning interest in game development, he has already made his mark by contributing to the Cartoonimator project led by PhD student Krithik Ranjan. This innovative project focuses on a low-cost, paper-based animation kit that allows children to explore computational thinking and creativity.

During his summer 2023 internship, Ignatius has been instrumental in enhancing the Cartoonimator's capabilities, enabling young users to add dynamic 3D effects to 2D animations and introducing features like variable camera angles, changeable backgrounds, and dialogue bubbles. His work has been pivotal in simplifying the animation process, where children can draw on sheets to create key frames that, when combined through a smartphone app, result in smooth animations.

Ignatius's tenure at ACME Lab has not only been about technical contributions; it has also been a period of personal growth. He has honed his collaborative skills, learned the importance of seeking assistance, and expanded his technical expertise by mastering a new programming language. His journey reflects a synthesis of technical acumen and essential soft skills, preparing him for a promising future in engineering and game development.
