Netta Ofer
PhD Student • MS, CTD—Research Masters '22 • HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION, WEARABLE TECHNOLOGY, EDUCATION
ATLAS Institute

Netta is a PhD candidate at The ATLAS Institute at University of Colorado Boulder, co-advised by Joel Swanson and Laura Devendorf. Her research explores design with living organisms from more-than-human perspectives. By making use of autobiographic design methods, bodily and movement practices, microscopy, digital fabrication, and digital art; she studies how design can expose human-centered assumptions and entangled relations with nonhumans and fabulate and enact different ones. Netta’s background is in media studies, human-computer interaction (HCI), and interaction design from the Media Innovation Lab (milab) at Reichman University. She has published and demoed her work at ACM CHI, ACM DIS, and ACM IDC, and has exhibited work at The Museum of Boulder and The Arvada Center in Colorado.
