Job Opportunity - MCDB Research Assistant at UCSF

Job Opportunities in Aydogan Lab at the University of California, San Francisco

The Aydogan Lab  at University of California, San Francisco is looking for highly motivated candidates for a research assistant (RA) and a postdoctoral associate (PDA) position.

Our recent studies showing that an autonomous clock controls the timing of centriole formation independently of the principal Cdk/cyclin cell-cycle oscillator (Aydogan et al., 2019), has challenged the long-standing model of how the cell cycle is  regulated. This has opened a new avenue of research to explore such autonomous clocks in the cell. We focus on discovering timing mechanisms that regulate organelle biogenesis more generally.

Please visit our website (link above) for details on our current work, and see below for the details of advertised positions:

Research Assistant: Graduates of molecular, cellular or developmental biology are highly encouraged to apply. Prior knowledge of molecular cloning and fly work is preferred, but not essential. This position will involve assisting on-going research projects in the lab as well as handling a portion of the fly work.

If you are interested in working on exciting problems on biological clocks, contact mustafa.aydogan@ucsf.edu with a description of your past research/experience, a resume/CV and the contact details of at least two references.
