Dr. Salma Shukri is an associate teaching professor at the Leeds School of Business, and the associate chair for the Professional Effectiveness division where she is responsible for scheduling, recruitment and hiring, curriculum development, and collaborating across divisions.

Salma teaches several classes at the undergraduate and MBA levels, including Communication Strategy, BASE, Organizational Behavior, and Managerial Communication. She also facilitates workshops on several topics including presentational speaking, emotional intelligence, and executive presence for undergraduates, graduate students, and external corporate partners.

Salma has presented at numerous conferences and published in top-tier peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of International and Intercultural Communication, Text and Performance Quarterly, and Departures in Critical Qualitative Research. She has also served as a consultant with local and international organizations in the field of conflict mediation and cross-cultural dialogue.

Salma received her PhD and her MA in Communication from the University of Denver, and her BA from CU Boulder—a former Buff! She is passionate about empowering individuals with the necessary skills to be successful in both their personal and professional lives.
