Zack Donohew is a Scholar in Residence in the Social Responsibility & Sustainability Division and a Fellow of the Hernando de Soto Capital Markets Program at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder. He undertakes research on how regulations, property rights, and institutional structures impact the allocation and management of natural resources and environmental conservation. His work delves into specific areas such as groundwater adjudication, water rights reform, and the governance of shared resources in outer space. Donohew serves as the Principal Investigator for the Space & Sustainability Initiative, which promotes the long-term sustainability of commercial space operations. His outreach and service activities include serving on the Space Sustainability Rating advisory board. Donohew holds a Master of Environmental Science from Yale School of Environment and a PhD from the University of California Santa Barbara.
