  • Students can prepare for fairs and events by attending Engineering Career Services (ECS) workshops, utilizing prep resources on the ECS website (such as resume tools and video tutorials), and updating their Handshake profile.

APT Masonry Arch Annual Student Design-Build Competition
Association for Preservation Technology is announcing competition specifications for the 8th annual Masonry Arch Student Design-Build Competition! Please see the flyer for the full competition specifications, and instructions on how to enter your team before the March 10 deadline. Hydro-Urban Bhaskar (HUB) research group seeks undergraduate research assistant
The Hydro-Urban Bhaskar (HUB) research group is seeking a CU Boulder undergraduate student as a research assistant for field work and other research studying how urban development affects water resources. The starting date for this part-time work is as soon as possible continuing through summer 2023 and beyond.  More information

Energy Competition for Undergrads - $10,000 in Cash Prizes!
The GRIFFIN Lab is hosting an energy competition Feb 1 – May 1 for CU Boulder undergraduates to develop agents that can operate a smart home (with electric vehicle, water heater, and thermostat) to pursue energy goals! Rolling Submissions accepted.

Research Positions

CIEST seeks undergrad student technicians to contribute to experimental research at on-campus facilities
CIEST is seeking undergraduate student technicians with an interest in a variety of engineering disciplines, including electrical, structural, geotechnical, mechanical, and environmental engineering, to contribute to experimental research at on-campus facilities (right here in the Engineering Center!). In addition to upper classman, freshman and sophomore students are encouraged to apply with the opportunity for progressive training and long-term engagement. Motivated students with experience or interest in developing skills with machinery (CNC mill, overhead crane, servo-hydraulics load frames, etc.), CAD software (Solidworks or AutoCAD), electronics (sensors, data acquisition, signal processing, soldering, etc.), data analysis (Matlab or Excel) and/or experimental design/interpretation are encouraged to apply.


Summer Programs

Apply for paid summer research positions through SPUR
Undergraduate students looking for paid, hands-on experience in a research lab setting over summer break can begin applying online for the 2023 CU SPUR program on Feb. 13. The 10-week Summer Program for Undergraduater Research (CU SPUR) is open to all students in the College of Engineering and Applied Science. The program pairs younger researchers with graduate student and faculty mentors on a variety of topics.

Apply for a $2,500 scholarship to attend business program at Dartmouth 
The Stockman Family Scholarship to attend the Tuck Business Bridge Program at Dartmouth College is available exclusively for CU engineering students interested in business to meaningfully accelerate their career paths.  The three-week immersive summer experience is designed for undergraduate non-business majors. The program, held on campus at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, provides a comprehensive business curriculum, a capstone team project, recruiting services and one-on-one career guidance. The ideal candidate will have an interest in business, a strong GPA and be curious, ambitious, and well-rounded. Scholarship recipients who attend the Tuck Business Bridge Program in summer 2023 will receive a minimum scholarship of $2,500. Additional Stockman Family Tuck Business Bridge-CU Scholarship funds are available depending on need and merit. Candidates will be considered for those funds based on an essay written after acceptance into the program.
