Kiewit is seeking neurodivergent candidates in the Denver area who are interested in a skills-based hiring process for a full-time role. The company is holding a virtual hiring event in partnership with Neurodiversity in the Workplace geared towards making the hiring process more accessible for neurodivergent candidates. The hiring event will consist of a direct, relevant skill demonstration for data-driven hiring decisions.

International Takes: Sharing an Aspect of my Country with the CWA is back for its second year.

This program creates an opportunity for undergraduate international students to conduct research under the mentorship of a CU Boulder faculty member. Research is must address topics related to human impacts of climate change in connection to students’ international backgrounds, which may include home country or region, language, history and culture. The program concludes with students presenting their research findings in a poster session during the Conference on World Affairs.

Deadline to submit a proposal is October 2 through this form.

Truman Scholarship Information session: Students planning a career in public service are invited to apply for the Truman scholarship. The Truman foundation is seeking juniors with exceptional leadership potential committed to careers in government, nonprofit or advocacy sectors, education or other public service. This prestigious scholarship provides leadership training, mentorship and up to $30,000 for public-service related graduate study. Only juniors may apply, but sophomores can attend to hear how to improve their chances. Oct. 3, 4:40 p.m. by Zoom.

Green Corps, a field school for environmental organizing based in Denver, is offering graduating seniors yearlong paid training programs in environmental organizing and advocacy. It provides students with hands-on experience running campaigns for groups such as The Wilderness Society, Endangered Species Coalition, Mighty Earth and more. The Engineering Excellence Fund (EEF), which seeks to fund projects that promote excellence and innovation in engineering education at CU Boulder is accepting project proposals for its mini cycle of Fall 2022.  The EEF supports both graduate and undergraduate education. For more information, see the attached flyer. Mini grants up to $3,000 available. 

Proposal deadline: Oct. 7

The Engineering Excellence Fund (EEF)  is recruiting three undergraduate students to participate on the EEF committee. The committee of six undergraduate and three graduate students award funding for student, staff and faculty projects of varying scopes and amounts. The application deadline is rolling until Oct. 7, and Zoom interviews will be conducted as applications are received.
