Towards Zero Carbon 2025: Travel Details
Traveling to Boulder
For those of you flying in, the primary airport is Denver International Airport (DEN) in Denver. There is a small regional airport (Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport) closer to Boulder, though it is currently only served by a single carrier (JSX). If you don’t wish to rent a car, there is a regular bus, and ride sharing apps are an option. Note that Uber/Lyft prices can fluctuate significantly based upon the timing.
From Denver International Airport (DIA):

- Driving: 45 minutes - 55 Minutes (39 miles)
- Uber/Lyft: approximately $70
- Public Transportation:
- From DIA, take the RTD route AB1 to the Broadway – Euclid Ave Station, which is directly across the street from the CU Boulder main campus. The RTD AB1 schedule can be found here. To then arrive at SEEC on the East Campus, you can take a campus bus.
From Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (BJC):
- Directions
- Driving: 15 minutes (12 miles)
- Uber/Lyft: approximately $25
- Rental Car: There are very limited car rental options available at BJC
- Public Transportation: From the terminal, walk 0.5 miles to the US36 & Broomfield Station Gate D Bus station. Take the RTD Flatiron Flyer (Route FF1) from the US36 & Broomfield Station to the Broadway – Euclid Ave station, which is directly across the street from the CU Boulder campus.
