Betsy has worked for the CU of Advancement, where her responsibilities included acting as liaison for the anthropology, geography, ecology and evolutionary biology departments as well as the Program in Environmental Design, and as assistant sirector of development, where she worked closely with alumni and community partners in Boulder and the Denver metro area. Before joining the University of Colorado, Betsy spent five years as a concert and special events coordinator/volunteer coordinator/development assistant for the Glacier Symphony and Chorale in Kalispell, Montana.  Prior to her involvement in the arts, Betsy was an environmental educator and worked for museums, nature centers and field schools throughout the east coast. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature with a minor in sociology and anthropology from Denison University in Granville, Ohio and a Master of Science and elementary education degree from Antioch New England Graduate School in Keene, New Hampshire.
