Harambee Celebration

Harambee is a Swahili word that means "let's pull together" or "let's unite." It's a celebratory event that is often held in African American and African cultural centers to honor and recognize the contributions and achievements of black people.

The overall goal of a Harambee celebration at The Center for African and African American Studies is to foster a sense of community, unity, and pride in black culture and history. It's a time for people to come together, share their experiences, and celebrate their heritage. The event can help promote a sense of belonging and empowerment among black students on campus and create opportunities for cross-cultural dialogue and understanding.

Meet various campus partners, connect with friends, and enjoy music, games, good conversation, and savory cuisine from different vendors.

Please contact CAAAS@colorado.edu with any questions or concerns.
