Daniel Cordalis is a member of the Navajo Nation and a practicing natural resources and Indian law attorney. Daniel has worked closely with tribes to protect their water, natural, and cultural resources through litigation, resource negotiations, land acquisition, and tribal governance and land management initiatives. He currently supports tribes in the Colorado River Basin address their water issues as well as supporting tribal land conservation initiatives in the West. Daniel recently served in an appointed position in the Interior Department Solicitor's Office after leaving his solo practice. He was also an associate attorney with the Denver Earthjustice office, clerked for the Colorado Supreme Court and late-Justice Greg Hobbs, and the Native American Rights Fund, and worked as a legislative associate for the National Congress of American Indians in Washington D.C. Daniel had the great privilege of serving as a research assistant to Charles Wilkinson. Daniel is married to a Yurok woman, Amy Cordalis, and has three wonderful young boys, Brooks, Keane, and Tó biyahz.
