Luke Coffelt

Luke holds an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Ohio University and an M.A. in Middle East Studies from the American University in Cairo. While teaching ESL at Ohio University, he held several leadership roles, including Director of the Fulbright English for Graduate Studies Orientation, Business Bridge Coordinator, and Reading Coordinator. Luke is a trained site reviewer for the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) and has served on the TESOL CALL-IS Steering Committee. He was also a board member of CoTESOL, where he managed communications, as well as membership and registration. In addition, he previously served as a manuscript reviewer for TESOL Journal. His professional interests include computer-assisted language learning (CALL), language assessment, and vocabulary acquisition through corpus-based methods. Luke has presented at international conferences hosted by TESOL, NAFSA, and EnglishUSA and continues to participate in their professional networks. Outside the classroom, Luke enjoys reading, skiing, hiking, traveling, scuba diving, and spending time with his family.
