Sandra Vargas

Sandra Vargas is the Event Planning and Communications Coordinator at the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) at the University of Colorado Boulder. She specializes in strategic communications, marketing, organizational communication, stakeholder engagement, brand and messaging strategy, and digital communications. Sandra is passionate about developing communication strategies that strengthen institutional initiatives, create meaningful engagement, and build connections across academic communities.

At the CTL, Sandra leads the center's communications and marketing efforts, oversees website strategy and institutional publications, develops promotional campaigns, and plans signature events and conferences. She works closely with faculty, staff, and campus partners to communicate complex ideas in accessible and engaging ways while supporting innovative teaching and learning initiatives across the university.

Sandra holds a Master of Arts in Corporate Communication from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master of Education from the University of Innsbruck. Her graduate work focused on strategic communication, organizational communication, leadership communication, communication research, crisis and change communication, and communication measurement.

Outside of work, Sandra enjoys traveling, exploring Colorado, discovering new coffee shops, and spending time with her family.
