Sandra Vargas

Sandra Vargas is the Event Planning and Communication Coordinator at the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at the University of Colorado Boulder. With a passion for creating dynamic and engaging events, Sandra brings extensive experience in communication, organization, and creating connections within academic communities.

Sandra holds a Master’s in Education from the University of Innsbruck and is currently pursuing her second Master’s in Corporate Communication at CU Boulder’s College of Media, Communication, and Information (CMCI). She has a strong background in higher education and event management, having previously worked in roles that emphasized collaboration, strategic planning, and inclusive engagement. She is dedicated to supporting the CTL’s and ASSETT's mission of promoting teaching excellence and innovation by ensuring every event and communication strategy reflects the values of equity, inclusivity, and curiosity.

When Sandra isn’t planning or coordinating events, she enjoys traveling, exploring Colorado, and visiting coffee shops.
