Kirk Ambrose is a professor of Classics and founding director of the Center for Teaching & Learning. In addition to dozens of scholarly articles, book chapters, and reviews, he has published three books on the medieval art of Europe. In addition, he has curated museum exhibitions on the art of the American West, including Pioneers: Women Artists in Boulder, 1898-1950, which was the basis of a feature-length documentary film. His service includes seven years as chair of the Department of Art & Art History and Editor-in-Chief of The Art Bulletin. For over twenty years his teaching has spanned the gamut from introductory undergraduate courses of 425 students to graduate seminars.
