Josh Joswick

As a private citizen, Josh Joswick, a three term La Plata County commissioner and a community organizer for San Juan Citizens Alliance and Earthworks’ Oil and Gas Accountability Project, Josh has been actively involved in oil and gas development issues as they affect our people, air, land and water, for more than 25 years. This has meant dealing with federal, tribal, and state elected officials and regulatory agencies to hold the oil and gas industry to a high standard of accountability, and also participating in countless stakeholder meetings about state and federal rulemakings, and testifying in front of legislative committees to get Colorado to enact meaningful laws regulating the industry.  Since 1979, Josh and his wife Pam have lived in southwest Colorado where they raised their two children, and where they have had extraordinary opportunities to observe changes in the economies and landscapes of the state.
