Pre-Health Opportunities at CU Boulder
The University of Colorado Boulder offers two enrollment options to complete your health professions prerequisites as a nondegree student:
Structured Post-Baccalaureate Health Professions Program
Our structured Post-Baccalaureate Health Professions Program features a cohort experience, dedicated tutors and mentors, and rigorous full-time academics. This accelerated, one-year program has a summer start date and a competitive application process that runs from mid-August through the end of January each year. Strong applicants to this program typically have a strong academic history (cumulative GPA 3.5+ or a compelling upward grade trend) as well as solid histories of both clinical experience (with a focus on direct patient interaction) and non-clinical interpersonal jobs or volunteer roles that have informed their decision to pursue a clinical career.
Unstructured Post-Baccalaureate Health Professions Option
Through Pre-Health ACCESS we provide an unstructured post-baccalaureate option that offers a flexible, individualized approach to completing pre-health prerequisites through Continuing Educations's ACCESS program, while including full access to our outstanding advising services. The application process for the unstructured option is quick, easy, and non-competitive; you can get started in summer, fall, or spring terms.
To learn more about these options, we encourage you to schedule a time for a 1:1 consultation with one of our academic advisors so that we may answer your questions and provide you with individualized guidance.
