As a part of our commitment, the IQ Biology certificate is one of the five interdisciplinary programs at CU that partner with the University’s Colorado Advantage Program.

Highlights of this cutting-edge program include:

  • Prospective graduate students from groups traditionally under-represented in STEM Disciplines (as defined by the National Science Foundation) can apply for funds to attend the Colorado Advantage Program to pursue their interest in obtaining a PhD, perhaps in the IQ Biology Certificate Program and one of our partner departments.
  • Current students can volunteer to help with the preview weekend.
  • Faculty, especially those who run training grants where they would like to recruit a diverse student body, can volunteer to develop panels, give lab tours, and speak with the recruits during that weekend.
  • Departments, training grant applicants, and other organizations can support Colorado Advantage.
