Ruth Quispe Pilco

Ruth received an M.S. in Molecular Biology from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and a B.S. in Biology from Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina in Peru. She entered IQ Biology through the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Ruth completed her first lab rotation in Steven Schmidt's lab in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. She completed her second lab rotation in Boswell Wing's lab in the Department of Geological Sciences. Ruth completed her third lab rotation in Alexis Templeton's lab in the Department of Geological Sciences. For her team rotation, Ruth worked with three other IQ students in Luke Evans' (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology), Maggie Stanislawski's (Anschutz Medical Campus), and Chris Gignoux's (Anschutz Medical Campus) labs. In May 2022, Ruth joined the Schmidt lab.
