CU Boulder’s student news outlet, CU Independent, has a new look this semester.
The online-only publication recently unveiled a completely redesigned website, replacing the previous design which had been in place since 2011. The new site features a simplified design, updated logos and a new page structure that allows for more stories to be displayed at once.
The decision to update the site came from CUI Editor in Chief Jake Mauff, who sensed the need for a redesign after gathering feedback from his writers, as well as an audience survey that went out last spring.
“We’re really excited to have a new website.” Mauff said. “While the old site was a good platform for our investigative pieces, this new website gives us a great aesthetic for our news stories.”
