Helen Armstrong-Weier was born and raised in Pennsylvania and earned a BA in Communication from a small liberal arts college. While an undergraduate, she spent two semesters abroad, in London and Perugia, Italy. She earned her MFA in Literary Arts from Brown University where she taught a freshman seminar on fiction writing. Before joining the CMCI advising team she held a variety of roles in the education world, including teacher, recruiter and nonprofit program manager. Outside of work, she loves to read, write, explore national parks with her wife and play with her cats, Persephone and Calypso.
