First Year Advising • CMCI Advising

Pronouns: he/him

Sam is joining the CMCI advising team as a first-year academic advisor and academic coach. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Sam moved out west to attend Colorado State University. After graduating in 2021, he then worked in the office of admissions at CSU. There he worked with a diverse range of students as they navigated their college search and learned about the keys to student success in higher education. After two years in that position, he decided to make the move down to the Boulder area and is now excited to be a member of the CU community!

Off-campus, Sam enjoys reading, listening to music, hiking, and biking around town. One of his favorite hobbies is collecting books and vinyl records for his at-home library. If you have any recommendations, please send them his way.

Sam is committed to student success and access to higher education. He believes that all students, regardless of their background, have the potential to reach their academic and personal goals. Through this advising role, Sam is excited to support students as they build their own identity and sense of belonging on campus!
