Matea Beukelman is a Strategic Communication doctoral student in the College of Media, Communication, and Information (CMCI) at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Matea received her BA degree in Public Relations from Old Dominion University in 2013, and her MA degree in Strategic Communication from Regent University in 2016. Her master’s thesis analyzed the restoration of the Catholic Church’s image and reputation through a series of well-executed strategic communication methods by the new Pontiff, Pope Francis. In 2021, she became an instructor of public speaking at the Department of Communication and Theatre Arts at Old Dominion University (her Alma Mater).
Matea’s interests are teaching and research, particularly in the field of strategic communication and international relations.
